* Ensure daily inspection and maintenance preventive and curative on mechanical equipment are carried out.

* Ensure that the permit to work system is in place and followed.

* Participate in the effective management of the Rig Maintenance System (RMS) or ERP system.

* Ensure all record are maintained ona timely basis.

* Carry out periodic maintenance according to the RMS guidelines and coordinate same with supervisor and other department heads.

* Carry out maintenance and repair on mechanical components of drilling equipment.

- CAT engines: 3512A, 3512B, 3406, C15, C18, C27, D353, D399.

- GM engines: 3A, V8, V12.

- TOP DRIVE: Varco TDS 11 SA.

- DRAWWORKS: disc brake (NOV JC50D, KERWI E-1500-DC), hand brake (WIRTH1200HP, CABOT 1200/2550).

- MUD PUMP: WIRTH, NOV1600, PZ9, A1400PT, A1700PT.

* Study and understand mechanic and hydraulic drawings.

* Implement the outstanding recommendations from audits, as issued by clients, regulatory authorities or rig management.

* Ensure that reports for repair and maintenance of equipment are accurate and complete.

* communicate equipment problems or breakdown information via direct supervisor to technical field support.

* incorporate the think planning process into all tasks, whether working alone or as part of a team.

* Participate in the START process.

* Ensure subordinate personnel are properly trained in the START process

* Call a time out for safety (TOFS) wheneveran unplanned hazard or a change in the expected results is observed.

* Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations to the mechanic supervisor or maintenance supervisor and other department heads.

* Actively participate in weekly safety meetings and pretor meetings as required.

* Ensure a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained onboard the rig

* maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs on the following types of equipments
