  • Company Overview: 10 years’ experience with JV GAS (Sonatrach-Eni-Equinor) as an Instrument, Control & Metering Engineer from wells, treatment units, Compression storage, Turbine MS-5001 / 5002D, Fiscal Metering & export systems.
  • Provided numerous technical resolutions to Operation Queries (OQ’s) raised by different division (Exploitation, Exploration & Production, Logistic and Maintenance) which contributed to enhance plant integrity, operability, maintainability and production.
  • Preparation of MOC’s forms & presentation and following-up the implementation in cooperation with originators.
  • Regularly reviewed & approved modification requests that affect the installation and preventive maintenance (Deferrals).
  • Prepare work packs and method statements for modifications, ensuring safe and effective execution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) as a member or Team Leaded on incidents investigations.

  • Started a new task in addition to my old one, working as a Metering Engineer, dealing with the following tasks:
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with metering systems, including hardware, software, and data discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve measurement disputes or inaccuracies.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from metering systems to monitor resource usage and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Implement upgrades or new technologies to enhance system capabilities.
  • Ensure metering systems and processes comply with local, national, and international standards (e.g., ISO, API, AGA).
  • Maintain detailed records of metering system configurations, calibrations, maintenance activities, and performance data.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for metering systems.
  • Ensure all metering activities adhere to HSE guidelines and promote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments for metering operations and implement mitigation measures.
  • Provide technical support during audits or inspections.

Instrument & Control Engineer Trainee

  • Prepare PTW (Permit to Work) and conduct risk assessments for safe work execution.
  • Perform maintenance, routine calibration and input checks on metering (Utilising Terrington tool to plan Fiscal Metering preventive maintenance). As part on my experience, I handle with various flow meters such orifice plate to measure the dry gas flow rate, Coriolis meter (CMF3000) to measure LPG & Condensate flowrate and Gas quality ensured by using Gas chromatography model Daniel 500 with 2350A controller and Moon 2000 software for remote manipulation.
  • Metering routine including all the below tasks, that are mainly dedicated to ensure an accurate reliable flow rate calculation.
  • Calibration of DP Cells transmitters using pneumatic dead weight tester.
  • Calibration of pressure transmitters using hydraulic dear weight tester.
  • Calibration of temperature transmitters using standard resistor (Decade box).
  • Daniel 500 gas chromatography weekly calibration remotely using MON 2000 tools.
  • Performing regular input checks for the whole FM system.
  • Inspect each 6 months of the orifice plate and the replacement is scheduled each 12 months.
  • Coriolis meters change out each 12 months.
  • Maintenance and calibration of the metering systems devices using multiple standards: AGA8 (To calculate the density and compressibility factor), ISO 6976 (To calculate the standard density and PCS of dry gas) and high accuracy measurement in accordance with ISO 5167 and API section 6 chapter 5.
  • Able to identify and use a variety of test equipment including millimetres, milliamp calibrators, pneumatic & hydraulic pump (Dead weight tester), decade box for temperature transmitters calibration, hand tools and smart calibrators.
  • Maintain and calibrate gas quality equipment related to fiscal metering such as Daniel 500 gas chromatograph (Danalyzer 2350A) and H2S analysers.
  • Collect, analyse and report data from measurement equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measure.
  • Ensures usage of valid Metering Test Equipment having a valid calibration certificate.
  • Update the Client's Computerized Maintenance Management System and log book with all completed work.
  • Collaborate with the team to execute daily activities as per the planned schedule, which includes calibration, troubleshooting, corrective work, and preventive maintenance for various instruments and meters.
  • Ensure the correct configuration of flow computers (FloBoss).
  • Monitor critical instrument spare parts to ensure availability when needed and develop a master list capturing instrument issues and possible failure reasons, providing recommendations to overcome these issues in cooperation with planning team.
  • Lead the rehabilitation of the prover with Alderley specialist.
  • Preparing the test equipment and coordinate with logistics to send them for recalibration.
  • Lead the scope of upgrading the fiscal metering supervisory (FMS) with the vendor and ensuring the pre-commissioning and commissioning.
